Here\'s a separated main drain under a house. It was a challenging job to say the least!
Randy connecting a new sewer drain to the city sewer under the street.
Plumbing... it\'s a dogs life, lol! In the heat of summer, one of the coolest places to be is in a newly dug hole.
This is another typical water leak under a house (you can see water spraying.) Unfortunately all the water lines were rotten and we had to re-pipe all the water supplies with PEX, of course!
We never know what kind of critters we\'ll find under a house. This is a black snake. Actually, a black snake is a good thing to have around. They eat mice and other snakes. It was released unharmed!
This was the worst sewer auger job I ever did. It was in NEWLY REMODELED basement bathroom. New paint, new tile, new everything. Unfortunately it wasn\'t new after I left. But there was no avoiding it because I had to run that auger down the sewer 7 TIMES!!! As you can see in the photo, I brought up enough
Actually, fixing a leak is the EASY part of plumbing. Finding the leak and getting to it is the hardest part. This pipe happened to burst under a sidewalk. This is randy doing his impression of a backhoe, lol.
Not all critters we find under houses are bad and scary. Here\'s some newborn kittens!
This looks like a bad leak but it\'s not. We re-build water heaters. We replace both thermostats and elements AND vacuum out the lime. This water heater was in a basement and the floor drain was right next to it. So we pulled the bottom element and the water went right down the drain. We had the water heater re-build and the water turned back on within 30 minutes.
You have to admire a man who is passionate enough to throw himself into his work like this!!!
Another busted main sewer line under a house. The bandana didn\'t help with the smell!
This is Randy building new drain lines (roughing-in)under a new house. He truly is a master of his craft!
Yes, flushable wipes do flush but they don\'t move down the sewer line!
We not only rebuild water heaters, we install new heaters to!
This is Randy locating a sewer line underground. We have the ability to run a camera down a sewer line to see inside the pipes. The camera head also sends out a signal that can be picked up by the wand he is holding. We know exactly where and how deep the pipe is.
Not all our work in underground or under a house. Sometimes our work takes us into the attic. This is a separated drain vent line. A hard wind blew the neighbors trampoline over the house hitting the vent line causing it to separate in the attic!
I think my regular sewer auger isn\'t going to work on the toilet. lol!
A functional work of art!
Some extreme leaks underground require extreme measures. Sometimes it\'s easier and less expensive to lay out new underground PEX from the street to the crawlspace.
